Unfortunately, one of the top wide receivers in the draft hasn’t been able to compete.Oklahoma star Marquise Brown suffered a foot injury in the final weeks of the 2018 season. After undergoing surgery for a Lisfranc injury, Brown missed the combine and Oklahoma’s pro day.However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter has good news for the Sooners star.According to Schefter, Brown has been cleared to begin running.Oklahoma WR Marquise Brown, a projected first-round pick who underwent Lisfranc foot surgery, had the boot on his foot removed and has been cleared to begin running, per source. Brown still could be ready for post-draft mini-camp.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 28, 2019It’s great news for one of the most explosive players in this year’s draft.Brown went over 1,000 receiving yards in each of the past two seasons – with different quarterbacks.In 2017, Brown caught 57 passes from Baker Mayfield for 1,095 yards and seven touchdowns. In 2018, with Kyler Murray under center, Brown caught another 75 balls for 1,318 yards and ten touchdowns.Brown was projected as a first-round pick, but saw his stock slip as a result of the injury. However, as one of the fastest receivers in the draft this year, he could still wind up as a first-rounder.
